Artistic Statement

Turning, tumbling and technique are three words to describe the elements that help me stand out as a performer. Growing up, I was always known as a power tumbler; I could flip around like a monkey with no fear and always land on my feet. As I grew older, I kept this interest alive, but I also found a true passion in commercial style jazz and hip-hop. After visiting and dancing in Los Angeles a few times these past years, I discovered my love for the “LA scene” and commercial dance. Although I could consider these styles as my strongest, I do admit that I find myself striving to succeed in all forms of dance. Contrary to sexy jazz, I enjoy performing and also choreographing about personal experiences I have had in my lifetime. I feel as though I can share my genuine emotions with the audience. My goal as a performer and choreographer is to draw the audience in and tell my story. I typically find myself using dance as my outlet to express my thoughts and feelings, and my goal as a performer and choreographer is to draw the audience in and tell my story.
